Craft for BabiesOur school clubs meet weekly to crotchet, knit, and sew premature-sized baby hats, burial gown sets, and blankets. Open to all students at Basha & Arizona College Prep High Schools, AMS Middle School, and community members too! Now also operating in Texas and Georgia! Open your chapter!

Collect From CommunityWe collect donated items for premature babies from members of our local Phoenix-area community. Items may be crafted or purchased, such as preemie-sized hats, swaddling blankets, yarn, sewing machines, nursery fleece fabric, first communion gowns, and more.

Give to Hospital NICUsMultiple times during the school year, we donate all crafted, made-by-students, and collected donated community items to donate to the hospital NICUs in numerous cities throughout Arizona.

Our Items
All items are individually packaged in sealed plastic bags and labeled with a size sticker to help nurses find the best fit for the preemie. Burial gowns are wrapped in tissue paper and presented in white boxes with a card for grieving parents. All packages include a club-info notecard for the parents receiving the gift to know how the gift was made possible.

4,101 items have been donated as of January 31, 2026 of hats, headbands, blankets, burial gown sets, scent hearts, stuffed toys, appreciation cards, and child outfits.

We have donated 4,101 items as of January 31, 2026 to 16 Arizona hospitals and directly to requesting families.

Knots for NICU has produced a total value of $56,122 of items for donation to hospitals and families in need. (Value per item noted on chart.)
