The Child Hospice Support program at Knots for NICU collects formal garments in child sizes (from infant to high school age sizes) to donate to Ryan House -- the only child hospice venue in the entire state of Arizona. Patients at child hospice venues typically have terminal illnesses or life-shortening diseases or ailments. The garments Knots for NICU collects and donates are repurposed to families in need for bereavement purposes, and to patients to attend arranged dances and special events in their short lives. Items we collect are:
- Sizes collected: 6 mo. to all child sizes, juniors sizes (teens) and young adult sizes
- Baptism & Christening gowns and suits
- First Communion dresses and suits
- Confirmation dresses and suits
- Flower girl dresses/ring bearer suits
- Prom/Homecoming/Quinciñera dresses and suits
- Wedding attendant dresses and suits
