Knots for NICU was founded in August 2022 by Karis Wales at Accelerated Middle School (AMS) and operated exclusively as a middle school club for two years (2022-2024). Now operating in its fourth year, Knots for NICU AMS chapter grew to encompass Basha High School (BHS) in the Chandler Unified School District (CUSD) in Chandler Arizona. Our present youngest members are still from AMS in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades; see BHS Chapter page for 2025-2026 AMS member information!
